After the Collapse, Syrenaica's population abandoned their main settlements, and retreated into cave complexes and other natural fortifications. The world is mostly ocean, and what land exists is rocky cliffs and high plateaus that offer few landing spots for raiders and Vampires. The locals seem to have completely forsaken offworld contact, though, and Regency contact teams have occasionally come under attack from armed groups on the surface. Contact with the locals is sporadic, and most local chieftains refuse to talk to safeside represenatives.
