Tukera Long Liner

design by Peter Grey

This is a TNE update of the CT design as presented in the Traveller Adventure. In antebellum days, the Long Liner was a Tukera Lines proprietary design used on the Third Imperium's main trade routes. Equipped with J-4, it generally followed the X-boat routes, from the Imperial Core to the frontier. Because the ship is used on established lines, it does not carry fuel purification equipment. The vesssel can carry between 50 and 220 passengers, and about 140 tons of cargo. Most of the surviving fleet in the Spinward Extents now serve secondhand with other companies, following the liquidation of Tukera in the Great Fire Sale of 1132. Many examples of the class probably survive in the Wilds as well, where their long legs make would make them attractive for trade, and raiding.
