Oberlindes Cargo Carrier

The Cargo Carrier is the standard workhorse for Oberlindes Lines, a small interface shipping company that operates in the coreward subsectors of the Spinward Marches. Oberlindes is an old Imperial company that was first founded in 487, and it remains a fixture in the Regency of Deneb. The Carrier is typical of J-3 vessels that operate along the main cargo routes in the old Imperium. Oberlindes' operations along the frontier with the Vargr Extents, and constant run ins with larger and more ruthless Imperial-era companies like Tukera compelled it to arm all of its ships, and the practice continues to this day.

The Cargo Carrier is intended primarily as a freight hauler first, and passengers second. No medic is assigned to the ship, and low passengers must be handled by ground personnel at departure and arrival. The ship is intended for operation along established trade routes, and no fuel purification plant is carried, though provision for one is fitted in case the vessel operates in more remote frontier regions.
