The Meso Beetle is a leaf eating insect. It is assumed by most scientists to have been
introduced to Belizo by the Ancients, but its DNA line is not as clearly deliniated as
that of the Green Scorpion and the Desert Ant. Some scientists think the beetle may
actually be native to Belizo despite its sophistication.
The Meso Beetle eats almost any plant on Belizo including the known introductioned plants of the Belizo Blueberry, the Prickleberry Shrub, and the Belizo Creeper, as well as most of the native grasses, and some of the lichens and mosses. The Meso Beetle is eaten by the Fero Rat.
